This course will help to instill greater confidence and tranquility in the expecting mother and her family throughout the pregnancy, delivery, post-partum, and newborn care phases. The Preparation for Delivery course focuses on the psychophysical aspects of being a future mother. The course is directed by obstetrical nurses, with the participation of specialists in neonatology, OB/GYN, physical training, nutrition, and psychology. The obstetrical nurses will teach relaxation and breathing techniques that will help the mother have more control of her labor and delivery, as well as breastfeeding techniques and baby bathing techniques.
The course will be given throughout the year, on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The expecting mother may be accompanied by her partner or another companion of her choosing.
A certificate of participation will be given that is valid in any maternity ward in the country, so that the mother may be accompanied by her companion during delivery.
