It is the area in charge of caring for patients in critical condition, with qualified personnel led by an experienced head professional, specialized in intensive care and properly trained nurses with the titles to endorse them.
- Services: Isolation room, care of critical patients (dependent on artificial life-support systems), care of patients with coronary disorders, assisted mechanical ventilation, hemoperfusion, hemodialisys, hemodynamic support.
- Equipment: Isolation beds and rooms, non-invasive heart-rate measurement, aortic balloon pump counterpulsation, ventilation with non- invasive positive pressure, invasive and non- invasive venous pressure monitoring, determination of the patient’s sedation degree and brain electrical activity.
