Rica.August, 2010. Hospital Clínica Bíblica (HCB) signed a permanent academic agreement
with prestigious Evergreen Hospital in Washington.
The clinical training for staff from the Costa Rican Doctors Association
(ASEMECO) will be performed through a series of programs designed taking into
account the main areas of interest.
Evergreen Hospital agreed to train healthcare professionals from
Hospital Clínica Bíblica. Members from Evergreen will come to the country to provide
their expertise. Also, they will in turn receive the certified doctors and
nurses in the program in their facilities in Washington State, United States of
America.
Collaboration in specific health areas will be mutual, since doctors
from Hospital Clínica Bíblica will also teach classes in the United States or
through virtual conferences.
Staff from the hospital will receive clinical training and will
participate in different activities comprised in the educational program under the
same standards, policies and regulations held by Evergreen.
They will receive training in all the areas of medical care, including
hospital quality, management and best practices. During these training sessions
they will use reference material from all the existing publications in
Evergreen’s medical library.
Access to supplies and equipment necessary for patient care is
guaranteed to those travelling to the United States under the training program.
Participants will have access to certain confidential information within each
hospital, which constitutes a very valuable tool, special and unique. For
example, they will learn about modern treatment methods that have been recently
developed. Also, all members will work with proper protection equipment in all
the tasks assigned.
ASEMECO and Evergreen will plan together the participation of all
members at the beginning of each year, taking into consideration the needs of
each of the hospital centers.
