Hospital Clinica Biblica has developed the preventative medicine program in an effort to provide guidance to the patient regarding proper comprehensive health maintenance measures, thereby contributing to an improved quality of life through the early detection of diseases affecting the general population.
| Child health maintenance exam plan
|
Medical consultation con with the pediatrician: a complete evaluation of the child is performed, including age-specific evaluation of growth and developmental milestones.
Vision exam: the child's vision will be evaluated by an optometry technician.
Audiometry: an objective exam will be given evaluating the child's hearing capacity, normal, and pathological auditory functions using the pure tones technique, vocal audiometry, and percentage of discrimination.
Laboratory:
- Complete blood count
- Urinalysis
- Fecal ova and parasites

| Adolescent health maintenance exam |
Medical consultation with a specialist in internal medicine: full medical evaluation (patient interview and physical exam) and report on general health condition based on findings.
Medical consultation with ophthalmologist: this specialist consultation includes the following: fundoscopic exam, ocular pressure, detection of vision problems (myopia, astigmatism, hypermethropy, cataracts, tumors, and colorblindness), retinal exam, dilated pupil exam, and prescription.
Consultation with clinical nutritionist: includes evaluation of the patient's nutritional status, ideal weight, body fat percentage, recommended weight according to height, bmi (body mass index), and analysis of the patient's dietary habits. Nutritional recommendations are made and the patient is offered a nutritional guide for reaching healthy goals.
Laboratory:
- Complete blood count (white blood cell count, red blood cell count, platelet count, hematocrit and hemoglobin)
- Blood sugar
- Lipid profile (cholesterol y triglycerides)
- Uric acid
- Creatinine
- Urinalysis
Imaging studies:
- Complete abdominal ultrasound (upper and lower)
