Debo agradecer profundamente la atención profesional, oportuna y exacta en los diagnósticos de enfermedades de mi hijo Allan Rivera Benavides en su Hospital. Lamentablemente él ha tenido que ser intervenido quirúrgicamente en 2 ocasiones, sin embargo gracias a Dios y la intervención de los Doctores Oswaldo Alvarado y Jorge Martinez se han prevenido complicaciones en la salud de nuestro hijo que es nuestro mayor tesoro. Recalco principalmente la disponibilidad y acertadas decisiones que siempre el doctor Jorge Martinez nos ha brindado desde que él nació hasta estos casi 7 años de bendiciones con él. Nos alegra sentirnos seguros de la calidad de profesionales en salud y humanidad que respalda la salud de mi hijo hasta esta fecha. Vivimos eternamente agradecidos. Que Dios les bendiga.

Mi mam fue internada en la CB durante 5 das, padeciendo una fuerte anemia y otros problemas resultantes de la misma. Ya est de regreso en su casa y precisamente por eso, nos sentimos obligados a decirles con el mayor aprecio que ella y todos en la familia estamos especialmente agradecidos con todo el equipo humano que le atendi durante su hospitalizacin. 

Todos y cada uno demostraron ser gente profesional, seria, dedicada a su trabajo, pero en especial, gente con sentido humano y especial carino por el paciente. Eso me hizo sentir en carne propia lo que se dice en los mensajes de HCB y eso es lo que hace realmente la diferencia: comprobar que se recibe un trato especial y que ese trato nace espontneamente de las personas, no de un mandato. Es decir, se trata de cultura interna, vivida, no de un simple entrenamiento. 

Por eso les rogamos que les agradezcan a todos de la forma ms sincera a nombre de Dona Ofelia, la senora que estuvo en el 408.

It is three weeks today that I had total hip replacement surgery at Hospital Clinica Biblica in Costa Rica and I am now back at my home in Cobble Hill, BC, Canada recuperating well and beginning to walk again and to resume my life.

My sincere thanks go out to all the staff in the International Department who made this medical journey an amazing experience. Starlene Spencer my Patients Coordinator, guide and guardian angel, who with her quiet, gentle and professional manner guided me from one station to the next in the hospital, eliminating completely my sense of anxiety. She does her work efficiently and was always in touch and right there whenever she was needed.

The entire hospital staff from Dr. Oscar Oeding, the friendly caring and skilled orthopedic surgeon, to Dr. Carlos Wu Chin who was called upon on short notice to help with my high blood pressure and who was on hand constantly during my stay, to the warm, kind  and competent nurses on the ward, to the physiotherapists who provided gentle but necessary post operative therapy; all handled their duties in an extra ordinarily caring fashion. I cannot believe that medical care gets any better than what I experienced at Clinica Biblica. My heartfelt thanks go out to you all.

My thanks also to Tim Wallace at Med Journeys who suggested we consider hospital Clinica Biblica in Costa Rica. He said we would not be disappointed and he was so very right. He allayed our many concerns and followed up quickly on all our questions. He even arranged for Dr. Oeding who was on a holiday at the time to phone prior to our leaving.

Che Tica became our home away from home for almost two weeks while I recovered sufficiently to make the long journey back to Canada. Once again the entire staff at this facility outdid themselves in ensuring we were comfortable and well looked after. The location itself is most conducive to recuperation and the staff from Francis the onsite nurse to the massage therapists to the house keeping, cooks and catering staff, the drivers and Lorena & Ruben Martin proprietors all encouraged my small steps of recuperation. They are all a beautiful, loving people and excellent representatives of the country of Costa Rica.

It goes without saying that we would highly recommend Med Journeys, Clinica Biblica and Che Tica to anyone in need of medical attention outside of Canada or the United States. Dear Brad Cook, Dr. Speranza Sanchez, Dr. Solis Rodriguez,

I wanted to take this opportunity to express my gratitude toward the kindness, generosity and care that was given to me last week at Hospital Clinica Biblica. I had superb medical care with Dr. Speranza Sanchez and Dr. Solis Rodriguez.  I appreciated the expert advice that they gave and the treatment that was offered which helped me very much.  I was able to travel back safely to North America to see my lovely wife who was of course very concerned about the medical condition I found myself in.  

My friends whom I was working with in Costa Rica definitely took me to the right hospital.  I understand that Montserrat Antillion communicated something of my work and situation and therefore, the care I received was given at a significantly reduced cost.  I cannot thank you enough for making this possible.  It is a real encouragement to keep going in the work that I do, knowing there are others who are so supportive along the way.

As I have said before, the medical team, staff and all the people at your hospital, Hospital Clinica Biblica, impressed me as world class.  I am sure that without the professional, loving care granted to me by you, I would not be able to write this email - unless the world beyond has recently established electronic communications with this one (a bad joke, I know!)  You people saved my life.

Please do pass on this email to all the people there. The wonderful members of the medical team, whose professionalism is so well complemented by the nursing an assistant staff and everyone down to the people who fed me and cleaned up my messes, kept me going through some rather bad times.
