Ranking of Best Hospitals

Thanks to our human talent department, collaborators and doctors for their effort and dedication to patient care. We remain among the top 10 in the last 7 years in the dimensions of Safety and Human Capital.

It includes public, private or university hospitals and clinics in Latin America that provide multiple services in a wide range of medical specialties and that have been mentioned as a reference by the Ministries of Health of their countries. The evaluation includes 7 dimensions related to Hospital Quality, which are described below:

  • Patient Safety and Dignity: process and outcome indicators to minimize hospital risks and transparency.
  • Human Capital: considering the analysis of the medical and nursing staff and hospital governance.
  • Capacity: indicators of number of admissions, beds, medical specialties and subspecialties, laboratory tests, surgeries, etc., as well as investments.
  • Knowledge Management: indicators that measure the capacity to generate, obtain and disseminate cutting-edge medical knowledge in the entity.
  • Efficiency: considers medical efficiency variables, such as bed or operating room occupancy rates, financial efficiency (balance sheets and income statements) and quality management mechanisms.
  • Prestige: considers, through surveys, the opinion of the doctors of the participating hospitals and the readers of América Economía subscribed to the web portal, and the milestones, achievements and strategic alliances reached by the entities.
  • Dignity and Patient Experience: analyzes indicators such as the ethics committee of the hospitals where it takes into account how the committees are established, the participation of patients and their families, the protocols of medical responsibility in the care of patients and the conformation of the directorates of patient experience that analyze the committees, their practices and development at the communicational, technological and educational levels.
